Pakistani sheep breeds have developed within specific environments and production systems. Kajli, for example, is associated strongly with Punjab and is also part of official conservation work. International breeds can add specialized meat or wool traits, but their management requirements must be considered carefully.
Sheep performance varies with grazing quality, supplementation, health, season, genetics and flock management.
